What emerges when the permanent starts to crumble? What comes to light when concrete cracks open?
We are looking for visual explorations of themes such as future gardens, third nature, utopias, fictional plants, speculative futures, compost, eco-fiction/storytelling, and more.
As part of the Asphaltsprenger Festival on May 10, 2025, we are seeking artistic contributions for exhibitions on the PARKS site and in front of Südpol in Hamburg-Hammerbrook. Two spaces are available for this — key details can be found here. An expense and material cost allowance will be provided. Applications are open to individual artists, duos, and collectives. All artistic media are welcome, except sound.
The exhibition is curated by Raum für Kunst & Ökologie, a curatorial platform operating at the intersection of art, science, and ecology. The Asphaltsprenger Urban Nature Festival brings together cultural programming and sustainable initiatives from Hamburg and beyond.

Was kann entstehen, wenn das Beständige bröckelt? Was kommt zum Vorschein, wenn der Beton aufreißt?
Gefragt sind visuelle Auseinandersetzungen mit Themen wie Zukunftsgärten, dritte Natur, Utopien, fiktive Pflanzen, spekulative Zukünfte, Kompost, Eco-Fiction/Storytelling u.A.
Im Rahmen des Asphaltsprenger-Festivals am 10. Mai 2025 suchen wir künstlerische Beiträge für Ausstellungen auf dem PARKS-Gelände und vor dem Südpol in Hamburg-Hammerbrook. Dafür sind zwei Räume vorgesehen – Eckdaten dazu findet ihr hier. Es gibt eine Aufwandsentschädigung und eine Materialkostenpauschale. Einzelkünstler*innen, Duos oder Kollektive können sich bewerben. Willkommen sind alle künstlerischen Medien, ausgenommen von Sound.
Kuratiert wird die Ausstellung vom Raum für Kunst & Ökologie, einer kuratorischen Plattform, die sich zwischen Kunst, Wissenschaft und Ökologie bewegt. Das Stadtnatur-Festival Asphaltsprenger vereint kulturelles Programm und nachhaltige Initiativen aus Hamburg und Umgebung.
